The 5 Best Reasons Silence IS Golden

Suddenly, it’s the end of the day, the kids are in bed, the phone is charging and on silent, the husband has been fed and is on his way to bed, the TV is off, and I’m left all alone. Ahhhh that golden moment when alas, all is quiet.

Changing Your Prayer Life: There’s an App for that!

Today, I’d like to talk with you about your prayer life. I know, prayer is a very personal thing and most of the time it isn’t something you share with others. Rest at ease. Teens and young adults can be tricky when it comes to getting them to do things with you. Summer of Fun – Day 8 – Creeking

Sometimes, we love putting on our old clothes, grabbing our water shoes, picking my camera up and heading down or upstream. It never gets old and it never looks the same twice!

Creeking is one of our all-time favorites things to do!

Summer of Fun – Day 4 – Baking Together

For day 4, we’re jumping into the kitchen and baking together. I don’t know what it is about spending time in the kitchen with my kids, but it’s one of my all-time favorite things to do. Maybe it’s the way they interact with each other. Maybe it’s all the shenanigans going on. They are always giving each other snarky (in fun of course) comments and teasing each other. Whatever it is, it makes me smile and laugh every.single.time!!  One day they’re going to leave the nest and are going to need to know how to take care of themselves. So, cooking and baking skills are NOT a bad thing. Right? Right!

Summer of Fun – Day 2 – Building Bridges

Today for Summer of Fun, we’re going to be exploring another building project – building bridges. There are so many different types of bridges: arch, truss, beam, cantilever, suspension, and beyond. Each bridge has its own design and purpose, but what they all have in common is they must hold a certain amount of weight in order to be structurally sound and that’s where we’ve decided to place our focus
