March: comes in like a lion goes out like a lamb. Lion? HA!!! Hardly. More like a freaking virus breathing dragon on steroids looking for fresh meat! Seriously, it has been one crazy year, uh hum, 3 MONTHS!! Can you believe 2020 is only three months old? That’s right, we are a measly three months…… Continue reading You're Quarantined- Is it a Menace or Blessing?
Courage is… Walking around in this life not knowing what’s just around the corner but taking a step anyway. Courage is… Being afraid but doing it anyway. Courage is… Feeling every emotion, especially the ones you’d rather stuff way down inside and avoid. Courage is… Continuing to love in-spite of being hurt. Courage is… Facing…… Continue reading Courage is…
I’ve started writing and deleted every word about a half a dozen times but this time, I believe I’m ready. Some words are simply more difficult to put together than others. Most of the time, words fall from my brain to the keyboard without much hesitation. This time is different. This time, the words are…… Continue reading Grief is Not a To-Do List
Almost four weeks ago, my family began a journey we never saw coming. A journey we never planned. A journey we never dreamed about. That journey started with a diagnosis of cancer
Hi friends! I’m so thankful for all of my faithful readers and followers. You mean the world to me.
We have a bit of sadness going on around here lately.
My family found out last weekend that our landlord of nine years has decided to sell our condo. What that means for us, is we have to move.
Today, we’re going to see what the Bible has to say about how to pray.
How empowering was it to learn in post 1, that prayer is so many things? I know it helped me better understand that even though God is omniscient, my prayers show him I long for and want a relationship with him.
Well, hold on to your hats, because today we’re going to learn just how prayer is all of the things we’ve already learned and a WHOLE LOT MORE!
Scripture gives many examples of what prayer is.For the month of September, I am sharing with everyone what I’ve learned about prayer and praying. In the last post, I shared what the Bible says about prayer.
One of the greatest things in the Bible, to me, is when one of the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. The lesson and the teaching still hold true. Come, let’s learn about prayer
So, on one of the nights when I was doing my Bible study, I realized I had pages and pages of notes on prayer, eight pages to be exact. Suddenly, you know how those ah-ha moments go, I’m thinking, DUH!, write about praying and prayer. Heck, make it a series for the whole month of September.
And that, my friends is what we’re going to be exploring all month.
