Have you ever had one of those months where it seemed no matter what you did nothing fell into place? Yes? Whew! Good!
September was just that kind of month for me. It seemed like everything I needed to get done got pushed to the back burner as I dealt with putting our fire after fire that just seemed to creep up on me.
Obviously, things were a little hectic, to say the least. Here’s hoping October will slow down a bit.
Sadly, I ended up not getting the last four days of the Gratitude Challenge completed and posted. Booooo!!
All is not lost, I’ll just do another catch-up post and move stealthily into October and maybe no one will notice.
HERE WE GO! DAYS 27-30
Day 27: What small thing that you use every day are you grateful for?
For me, it’s my pocket calendar. Oh my gosh, I couldn’t function without it. No matter where I seem to be, there’s always something I need to add to it. That lil calendar saves my butt on a regular basis. Let’s face it, if I don’t write it down, I’m not going to remember it! Getting old has its pitfalls I’m afraid!
Day 28: What small thing that happened today are you grateful for?
That’s an easy one! My husband’s son and his wife brought my grandbabies over to visit!!
It wasn’t a big thing, we simply visited and I got to snuggle with the cutest kids on the planet (ok, that was a totally biased opinion right there 😉 ). It’s so much fun being a mamaw, never would’ve imagined anything being as satisfying as being a mom, but mamaw comes in a very close second!
Day 29: What friend/family are you grateful for?
I’m thankful for all of my family and friends, but this week would have to be my mama. She has been such a confidant and support system this week as my life seemed to careen out of control for just a bit.
She always listens, makes me laugh, shows up when I need her and is truly one of my best friends.
Day 30: What talent or skill are you grateful for?
I’m grateful for the skill of being flexible. Usually, I’m pretty low key and it takes quite a bit to frazzle me. Thankfully, I’ve learned the art of just rolling with whatever comes along. When life gets all knotted up and tangled round, I don’t always like it, but I’m getting better at staying on an even keel when things are crazy as they have been this month (um, that would be last month, as October started today) *where does the time go?
So, there you have it and I’m officially all caught up..again 🙂
See you next time,
♥ R
