30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 25 – Just a Moment of Your Time Makes a HUGE Difference

Here we are in the final days of the gratitude challenge. Doesn’t feel like it’s been nearly 30 days already, feels as if we’ve only begun.

Today’s prompt asks:

What moment this week are you most grateful for?

That’s an easy one! Not to say there weren’t many moments this past week that I was grateful for, it’s just one stands out a bit more than the others.

Over the past week, my mama took a fall and ended up with a severe concussion. She is unable, at the moment, to take care of things as she usually does.

It’s a terrible feeling for a woman who is used to being able to take care of the daily things to suddenly have to stay down and quiet. I could tell it was stressing her out a bit.

Lending a Helping Hand

I’m a firm beleiver that we are meant to help and serve others, not always an easy thing to do when your life is so busy, but if you find make the time serving and helping can be one of THE most rewarding feelings in the world.

My family never ceases to amaze me.

I gave the call that nana needed help and my family stepped right up.

From the youngest to the hubs, they all packed their cleaning gear and headed to nana’s house to help her.

They did trash, raked leaves, mowed the lawn, washed walls, cleaned bathrooms, swept floors, dusted and so much more!

They were willing to give up an hour or so of their own time to help someone in need.

They may never know exactly what watching them help someone did for my soul; my tired spirit is feeling renewed.

There is good in the world, even when all we see is bad. Even when our newsfeeds and television sets show us nothing but horrific things going on in the world, it is still good because there are those people who are willing to make sacrifices for others!

A moment of your time can make a HUGE difference in someone's life

Time spent helping and serving others is never a waste of time or time lost.

How Will You Help/Serve Someone Today?
