30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Days 15- 19 Muddling Through and Catching Up

Hello, Friends!

I’m afraid I’ve left you all hanging for quite some time and have missed an entire week of the gratitude challenge.

I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage when it rains it pours; that’s exactly how my life has been as of late.

I’ve been down and out with a back injury and while I was able to write for the first few days of the injury, I’m afraid that last few days have been something of a challenge in and of themselves.

In order to catch up, I’m going to hit days 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 very briefly in hopes that I’ll be back to writing full steam ahead beginning this week.

fall

Day 15 – What SEASON am I most grateful for? Fall!! I love everything about fall! The sights, the leaves, the crispness in the air, the pumpkin everything, and snuggling under my blankets in the evenings!

strength

Day 16 – What about my BODY am I most grateful for?  My physical abilities. Only when I’m faced with an injury that changes my ability to do what I normally do, am I aware of how much my physical abilities are truly a blessing. Being able to carry more than 10 pounds, push a grocery cart, walk for more than a few minutes without pain are all things I usually take for granted. No longer!

newday

Day 17- What KNOWLEDGE am I most grateful for? The Knowledge that each day I have the ability to be the best me I can be; whether that’s as a mother, a wife, an employee, or just being me. Each day is a new day. Praise God!

art

Day 18 – What PIECE OF ART am I most grateful for? Every piece of art that sits in a box; where box after box is full of art my children have drawn over the years. For weeks they adorn my fridge and then they spend time in keepsake boxes that one day I will pass along to my boys!

touch

Day 19 – What TOUCH am I most grateful for? The human touch. It comes in many different forms; a hug, a kiss, an idea, a look, a feeling. Regardless of what it is, human contact (touch) is vital to my well-being!

Number 20 is today’s challenge and asks; WHO in my life I’m most grateful for? GOD and my family. I can’t imagine my life without God! He has blessed me in more ways than I can actually keep track of sometimes. The greatest blessings are those in my family. They make me crazy; They keep me sane; They add life to my days, and They make me the happiest person in the world! Through trials and good times, there are none who compare to those I hold most dear to my heart!

There you have it, my attempt at catching up!! Whew! Now I’m off to take some pain meds and go to dreamland for awhile.

How is YOUR gratitude challenge going? I would love to hear from you. Let me know what you are grateful for!!!

Blessings to you all,

♥ R
