30 Day Gratitude Challenge: Day 12 – Autumn, the Land of Hidden Textural Treasures

What Texture are you most grateful for?

Crunchy Leaves in the fall!

Leaves

I love all the different textures leaves have when they turn and fall in autumn. Walking through the leaves, hearing them crunch, seeing all the different colors and textures makes me want to explore more areas outside; makes me want to lie down on a pile of leaves and dream a little; makes me want to discover what may be hidden just out of view – Ewww maybe it will be a bug or worse, a SPIDER!!! Never mind, I don’t want to lie in a pile of leaves; I’ll dream standing up thank you very much! 😉

The feel of the leaves as they crumble in my hands, the sound they make when I walk across them, the feel of running through a pile of leaves and the way they feel against my legs and hands. The joy it brings!

There are so many textures to leaves in the fall. They never cease to amaze me!! Every vein, point, and stem carry their own special texture that when combined, make for the best eye candy ever!

I love fall and I love all the textures that come along with it!

  1. Beautiful post that brought back lovely childhood memories of kicking through Autumn leaves. Today I’m grateful for my garden and my daughter’s horse, both gave me joy. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your week. xo
