My One Minute Mind – I Inhaled a Booger

I just inhaled a booger!!

I’m sorry, what did you just say?

I said I just inhaled a booger! It was stuck in my nose and then I sort of coughed, inhaled a little and then, POW, I inhaled that booger!! It was gross!!!

I Inhaled a Booger!

True story. The guys and I were sitting around playing UNO and that is exactly how the conversation went. My son, between fits of contagious laughter, told us how he inhaled a booger.

Now everyone is laughing, the game is on hold because no one is able to breath as tears of pure joy run down our faces.

Isn’t life just like that? The unexpected takes us by surprise.

We’re going about our daily lives, things are sort of ho hum when, BLAMMO, you inhale a booger.

Sometimes it’s gross; it’s often unexpected; it may even hurt a little, but for whatever reason you can’t stop laughing (which is contagious by the way) and suddenly nothing is ordinary any more.

Where did that come from, you think to yourself. How did that happen? In the end, you laugh it off and go about your business, but you don’t even hesitate to tell all your friends because, hey, they need a good laugh too.

In a life where the ordinary becomes the usual, things can get sort of bland and pretty soon we’re just going through the motions.

Thankfully, life doesn’t leave us to our hum drum selves, nope, it sees to it that we don’t get stuck there and sends us little things to make each day a little lighter, brighter, and happier.

You know, it sends you a booger to inhale!
