Welcome back! I don’t know what the weather is like where you live, but here in Ohio we are hunkered down and keeping warm. There’s nothing like gathering a warm beverage, a lap blanket, and visiting with new friends, online friends that is.
Today’s author has been around many of my Facebook groups for some time now and I always look forward to reading her posts and getting comments from her. She’s spectacular and I just know we’re all going to get along famously!
I’d like you to meet Mandy Eve-Barnett from the blog of the same name.
Mandy is originally from England but immigrated to Canada some eight years ago. She has always been creative, trying most forms of artistic endeavors at one point or another, however it was not until she chanced upon a writers circle that writing quickly became an obsession.
She has two children’s books: Rumble’s First Scare and Ockleberries to the Rescue
She also as an adult e-book, The Rython Kingdom published and several either contracted, submitted or in the works. Creating characters and telling stories has captured her imagination like no other art form and she’s making up for lost time!
Through her role as secretary of her writer’s group, The Writer’s Foundation of Strathcona County, she’s been able to connect with local authors, attend meetings and organize their annual events. Added to this, she assists the owner of a local publishing company, Dream Write Publishing and attends their events as well.
She branched out with her writing quite early on and offers a freelancing writing service, https://tailoredthemedtosuit.wordpress.com/ which has expanded her writing skills.
It is her hope it will become a full time gig.
Mandy started her blog, www.mandyevebarnett.com to enable her to share, connect and encourage other writers and authors as well as promote her books. She is humbled at the number of people who have connected with her there and hopes to continue to grow in the future.
Each year, she devises a schedule and topics to cover prior to 1st January and makes the announcement, which keeps her on track and focused. She is, however, always open to posting author interviews to get their words known, it is her mandate to support other writers.
Welcome to the Getting To Know You family Mandy!!!
Nice to meet you Mandy! I like your creative use of words. Thanks for introducing us to her Robyn!

Oh, and tried to leave a comment on her “Lost Words of Love…” blog.
I did not see me after I posted. Maybe she has to approve…
Either way, if she wants me, she will have to come find me.
