My Top Five Pick of Great Music Legends Who Are Not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I am an age old hippy dippy type dude that was a digger back in the day who lived for music that was lucky enough to see the five bands I am about to tell you about. To me their music is timeless, forever young, and above all met to move you to the groove. At number five is:

Deep Purple

The British rock band Deep Purple formed in 1968 hit like a ton of bricks with their hard driving album of 1972 titled “Machine Head” with the hit classic “Smoke On the Water.” During their most productive rock period the likes of featured vocalist Ian Gillan were idolized, while the innovative fingers of Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar scorched the way, with Jon Lord on God like organ & keyboards, bassist Roger Glover booming his stylish moves and drummer Ian Paice laying down his groove. With the success of “Machine Head” they became one of the early icons of rock n roll history. Why they have not made it into Cleveland’s Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is beyond me.
