Welcome to the first Getting to Know You post with the changed format.
I don’t mind sharing, I’m a little nervous (if I were a nail biter I would be doing so at this very moment).
This new format is going to require a bit more from you, the reader, as you’re not going to be sticking around here, reading and commenting, but are going to need to click through to the featured author’s site and do the same. (at least that’s how I see things working… 🙂 )

Let’s get to it then…
I ‘met’ today’s author through social media and can’t tell you how much her interactions have come to mean to me. She always has fresh look on things and makes me feel really good about what I’m doing here. Thanks Cassie!
Cassie lives in sunny South Africa, Johannesburg – a town which is nicknamed the City of Gold.
She is a home-maker and lives with her other half Gareth and they are parents to a little Chinchilla (rodent) named Socrates.
Between managing her home, doing chores and looking after her pet (who really is her baby) she loves to do art work and most of all enjoys writing and that is why she started her blog.
Cassie suffers from an eye disease, keratoconus which she writes about in order to create awareness and let others with the disease know they are not alone.
She is a child at heart and believes that unicorns and dragons once existed and that there are mermaids somewhere in the sea as the majority of the ocean is undiscovered.
Cassie has been keeping a wellness journal and today we’re going to peek in on days 12-14. ENJOY!

On Friday I went about my day as usual, I had special K for breakfast and decide to change up my lunch by making some cheese and onion scrambled eggs and for supper I had grilled fish and veggies again( I know I have had this meal almost daily but I really enjoy it.)
I made it to gym and I upped my weights again, I am trying to do as much as I can and increase the weights gradually so I can move on to harder exercises. After gym we treated ourselves to a healthy smoothie.
