Mad as a March Hare – March? What? It’s October

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Are you ever silly?

I mean silly as in making yourself and those around you get their full belly laugh on?

Being Silly comes in lots of different ways.

Ever thought about that?

Breaking out your best dance moves in the middle of the grocery

Making funny faces at your kids

Talking in silly voices just to get a laugh

Selfies – oh yes, lets not forget taking silly selfies

Mimicking a ducks waddle

Crazy dancing in the car

No?

Well, those may have been MY ways of being silly (tee hee hee 🙂 )

Someone famous once said something about one really effective weapon the human race has…. OH WAIT…I know, it was

 ~Mark Twain, he said:

” The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter. “

Ever play those word association games? You know which ones I’m talking about

Rain is to cloud as Boat is to Water

or

Leaf is to tree as Grapes are to vine

Right?!

Same applies here to being silly

Negativity is to sadness as Silliness is to ?

What?

What is silliness to?

LAUGHTER OF COURSE

Silliness induces laughter. Laughter is considered ‘nature’s medicine’. So, what are some of the proven benefits?
•Laughter triggers the release of endorphins – the body’s natural ‘feel good’ hormones.
•Laughter relaxes the body and relieves tension.
•Laughter boosts the immune system by decreasing stress hormones and increasing immune cells and disease and infection-fighting antibodies.
•Laughter protects your heart by improving the function of blood vessels and increasing blood flow, both of which can help protect you from heart problems.

~ The Hip Homeschool Mom

It’s okay to want to be silly,
When day-to-day life can be pilly,
It just takes a word
Or a drawing absurd
To lighten your day willy-nilly!

~Carla Sonheim

I’m challenging you to #GoBeSilly. Don’t worry about what others think. Just do it! The laughter will do you and the world good! Take whatever opportunity you can get to get your silly on. Now, #GOBESILLY!

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR SILLY ON?

  1. Being silly is so much fun and I get to do it with my little nieces quite often! Also with my mum, my childhood friend…laughing is good for the soul 🙂

  2. I love to laugh and do ‘silly’ a lot. Not so much physical silly these days (although I did that for years a children’s entertainer, which was HUGE fun!) .. just the wit of a good conversation that leads to laughter, a passing aside when I’m out and about. Laughter rocks!
